Land surveying services
Land surveying services
Surveying provides reliable information on the state of the environment to support planning, monitoring or risk assessment.
Land surveying services
We offer land surveying services for mapping out the state of the environment, built environment and soil as well as to aid project planning and meet regulatory requirements. Our services include UAS aerial photography, i.e. drone photography, and GNSS precision surveying based on satellite positioning.
We deliver the surveying data in an easily usable format, in the client’s coordinate system of choice and in the national height system. The accuracy of our land surveying meets requirements of class 1e (survey accuracy) of the JHS 185 recommendation.
Our surveying services
UAS aerial photography
Aerial photography provides up-to-date data and enables visiting sites that would otherwise be difficult to reach. Drones can be used to photograph large areas and to get accurate images of landforms, vegetation, water systems and infrastructure. With real-time photography, environmental changes and the state of the sites can be closely monitored at a specific time of year or during, for example, floods or construction projects.
Orthophotography
An orthoimage is an accurate-to-measure aerial image in which dimensions have been corrected to correspond to reality (orthorectified). Orthoimages are used, for example, as background maps in site planning, in planning and monitoring construction projects, in monitoring changes in the environment (e.g. erosion, excavations or changes in vegetation), and in surveying and documenting boundaries.
3D point clouds
A 3D point cloud is a dense collection of three-dimensional GPS-points. The material is produced photogrammetrically from an orthoimage and contains X, Y and Z coordinates for each point. 3D point clouds are used as preliminary material in, for example, the creation of terrain models, mass calculations, stormwater planning and planning locations of structures in relation to the surrounding terrain.
RTK-GNSS surveying
RTK-GNSS surveying is surveying based on satellite positioning that achieves up to centimetre-level accuracy in real time. The method utilises correction signals to minimise positioning errors. It can be used extensively in planning and construction, including the production of terrain models, mapping water surfaces, marking boundaries and accurately positioning structures and infrastructure.
