Sustainability at Envineer
Material Sustainability Topics
Our sustainability efforts are based on a sustainability program prepared in 2023 and our first materiality assessment conducted the same year. The purpose of the assessment was to identify the most significant sustainability themes related to the environment, people, and good governance in the context of our operations. The assessment focused particularly on the impacts of our business activities on society and the environment.
The findings of the materiality assessment remain aligned with Envineer’s current operations and strategic priorities. Our sustainability work is built around three main themes: environmental responsibility, social responsibility, and good governance.
Environmental Responsibility
Our greatest opportunity to reduce environmental impacts is through our client projects by proposing well-founded and responsible solutions for project implementation.
We monitor the carbon footprint of our own operations, energy consumption, business travel, and climate targets through sustainability reporting. In addition, we maintain environmental and quality management systems certified by the Finnish Association for Quality in Construction (RALA). These systems help us evaluate our environmental responsibility and the effectiveness of our actions.
The environmental management system provides a framework for identifying environmental aspects, monitoring environmental impacts, and continuously improving our operations.
Social Responsibility
The most important social responsibility themes for us are employee well-being, training and competence development, equality, diversity, and occupational safety.
These themes are also central to Envineer’s 2026–2028 strategy, where a healthy work community, a trust-based work culture, and high-quality leadership are seen as prerequisites for business success and positive impact. The company has an equality and non-discrimination plan aimed at ensuring equal practices in recruitment, compensation, career development, and work organization.
Occupational safety is developed systematically, and employee perspectives are regularly taken into account.
Good Governance
Our governance model is characterized by a low hierarchy and a high level of trust. We strive to maintain an open and interactive organizational culture that values employee input and supports agile decision-making both internally and in client work.
We see good governance not only as an obligation but also as an opportunity to strengthen our business and build trust with customers and other stakeholders. Our communications are open and honest, and we avoid greenwashing in our marketing.
Employees, clients, and other stakeholders have access to a Whistleblowing channel that enables confidential reporting of unethical conduct.

Sustainability Report 2025
Envineer’s 2025 Sustainability Report (in Finnish) is the company’s second sustainability report and is based on 2025 data. The reporting framework is built around the key elements guiding the company’s sustainability work and follows the ESG framework (Environmental, Social, Governance).
The report is based on Envineer’s 2026–2028 strategy, in which sustainability is an integral part of business direction, partnerships, and impact. The strategy defines how we increase our positive impact on the world, particularly through environmental and social choices made in client projects.
